Carole Griffin RBA (@carolegriffinart) Instagram photos and videos 2025 Exhibition at the Mall Galleries, London Royal Society of British Artists Private View February 25th 2025 Exhibition opens February 26th 2025 Exhibition closes March 8th 2025 Carole Griffin is an award winning artist and elected member of the "Royal Society of British Artists". She specialises in Still Life paintings using Oils or Watercolour. Recently having re-located to North Norfolk, Carole has also been painting the surrounding Countryside en plein air. The aim is to portray the everyday beauty of the manifest world with a touch of the quiet existence behind. She exhibits annually at the Mall Galleries, London with the RBA as well as at other UK Galleries, including the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. Commissions have come from the House of Lords and Foreign Royalty. Having been trained at Central St Martins, London, she later taught there as a Visiting Lecturer as well as at Norwich, Salisbury and Harrow Art Colleges. Carole was selected from across the UK and awarded the prestigious Leverhulme Travelling Scholarship. This provided many opportunities to work with a variety of artists and designers across North America. Honoured to have been awarded the "Peter Kelly Commemorative 2024 Prize" at the RBA, Mall Galleries, London. Dry Red Press have selected "In the Light" for their latest 2022 greeting card range. The Artist Magazine commissioned a three page watercolour feature on roses in 2021. The March edition of the Artist and Illustrator's Magazine 2020, commissioned Carole to demonstrate watercolours in another three page feature. The Dry Red Press have selected "Snowdrops and Stripes" to be produced as a 2019 RBA greetings card. In 2016 "Narcissi" was awarded the Dry Red Press Award. In 2014 Carole was awarded the Artist Magazine Award. This website gives an overview of the artist's style and subject matter but is indicative rather than comprehensive.
