​Carole Griffin is an award winning artist and elected member of the "Royal Society of British Artists".
She specialises in Still Life paintings using Oils or Watercolour. Working from life, the aim is to bring out the everyday beauty and drama of the manifest world with a touch of the existence behind it. The portrayal and interpretation of Philosophical ideas is an important consideration. She exhibits annually at the Mall Galleries, London with the RBA as well as at other UK Galleries, including the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. Commissions have come from Royalty in the UK and abroad.​

As part of the North Norfolk, Coastal Marsh Open Studio Trail, Carole will open her Studio in Salthouse to the Public. Opening hours are from 10am - 5pm from Saturday May 28th - Sunday June 5th with the exception of Wednesday June 1st when the Studio will be closed for the day. To encourage artistic creativity amongst the young and to acknowledge this momentous JUBILEE occasion, Carole is running an ART COMPETITION for children and young adults up to 16 years of age. The theme to illustrate is "CELEBRATION" - the subject matter of which can be anything you like. Full details are given on the adjacent leaflet or on the NNS website.

£20 Art vouchers, generously donated by the Adrian Hill Fine Art Gallery, will be awarded in each age category. Entries should be 
handed in to Corner Studio, Purdy Street Salthouse NR25 7XA (Artist 156) by Noon on June 5th. Entry forms will be provided at Corner Studio for entrants to complete with their contact details.

Having been trained at Central St Martins, London, she later taught there as a Visiting Lecturer as well as at Norwich, Salisbury and Harrow Art Colleges. Carole was selected from across the UK and awarded the prestigious Leverhulme Travelling Scholarship. This provided many opportunities to work with a variety of artists and designers across North America.

In the March edition of the Artist and Illustrator's Magazine 2020, Carole was commissioned to demonstrate watercolours in a three page feature. The Dry Red Press have selected "Snowdrops and Stripes" to be produced as a 2019 RBA greetings card. The Artist Magazine commissioned a watercolour demonstration of roses in 2021. In 2016 "Narcissi" was awarded the Dry Red Press Award. In 2014 Carole was awarded the Artist Magazine Award. Dry Red Press have selected "In the Light" for their latest 2022 range.
